Chocolate Price in Bangladesh: How to Compare Real Value

Use one formula for every pack

Use current pack price ÷ total grams × 100 to compare cost per 100g. For a multipack, divide by the labelled piece count to compare cost per piece.

For multipacks, also calculate price per bar or piece. Use the discounted checkout price only while that promotion is actually active.

Compare like with like

Plain milk chocolate, a 70% cocoa bar, a pistachio-filled kunafa bar and a gift box have different ingredient and packaging costs. Unit price is most useful inside the same format. Compare plain bars with plain bars; compare filled bars with similar filled bars.

Five value checks beyond weight

• Condition: intact seal, no leakage or crushed filling.
• Date: enough best-before time for your intended use.
• Information: readable ingredients, allergens and importer details.
• Format: single, sharing pack, multipack or gift box.
• Use rate: a cheaper large bar is poor value if heat damages the remainder.

Make a shortlist, not a false ranking

Set the budget, choose the style, then shortlist two or three in-stock products. Compare unit price and label details side by side. A sensible final choice balances taste, portion, storage and cost; it is not automatically the biggest pack or the deepest headline discount.
